An organization that supports children living with disabilities introduced its third fundraising event by hitting the ice Saturday at the Cornwall Curling Centre.
“Everyone who is here is having a great time,” said Jennifer Deschamps, a co-organizer for Curling for Kids bonspiel and board member for the fundraising recipient, Rachel’s Kids.

With a steady dose of danceable pop songs broadcasted over the curling sheets, many a curler between shots would spontaneously break out a dance move.
“They were well taken care of,” said Deschamps, of the 48 players who enjoyed a full day of two games, snacks, a full dinner, a silent auction, and an evening of music provided free of charge by The Pickheads.
