PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A woman with a past violent history convicted in a brutal domestic violence case in Arizona will spend more than a decade behind bars, prosecutors announced Monday.
The Arizona Attorney General’s Office said Christina Albert was sentenced to 15 years for domestic sexual assault. She was also concurrently sentenced to 7.5 years for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in a domestic violence case.
Prosecutors said that Albert repeatedly beat, choked and sexually assaulted her girlfriend between May and June 2023. A copy of the indictment indicated that the crimes occurred in Maricopa, Pima, and Yuma counties.
Albert, who was sentenced on Nov. 4, was also ordered to register as a sex offender and may not have any contact with the victim.
