Brendan Fraser is only human.

Though the actor marked a professional milestone in 2023 after taking home the Best Actor Oscar for his role in The Whale , he admitted that being lauded by his peers hasn’t shaken the feeling of being out of place at times.

"I struggle with confidence," Fraser told the Associated Press in an interview published on Nov. 19. "I always have, the feeling of not being good enough. Believe me, no one can be harder on me than me. No critic, no pithy internet comment can be more biting to me than myself in my private thoughts. That’s OK. I grapple with overcoming that."
