Reba McEntire hasn't gotten hitched yet, folks.
The country star, who appeared on "Today" to promote her sitcom "Happy's Place" among other things, had to clarify that she and costar Rex Linn are still just engaged after anchor Savannah Guthrie said McEntire met her "husband" on the NBC series.
"Now, wait a minute. Before everybody has a conniption fit at home, we're just engaged," said McEntire, before Guthrie apologized for mispeaking. "My family will go, 'Wait, you didn't tell us?'"
The camera then turned to Linn in-studio, who looked confused before the clarification was made.
McEntire, 70, opened up about her engagement to Linn, 68, telling USA TODAY that the actor picked out the ring, rose gold and set with black diamonds, and presented it on bended knee on Christmas Eve 2024.
"It sparkles all the time, and it doesn't matter that I don't think I've ever cleaned it," McEntire, who announced the engagement in September, said. "I'm having a blast. I feel like a teenager again. It's just a wonderful time."
The singer – who in addition to the second season of "Happy's Place" is also in her fourth season as coach on NBC's "The Voice" alongside Michael Bublé, Niall Horan and Snoop Dogg – called her engagement the cherry on top.
"I'm 70 years old, 50 years in the business, and I'm happier now than I've ever been in my life," McEntire said. "God saved the best for last."
