Penn State is eligible for a bowl game thanks to its wacky 40-36 win over Rutgers on Saturday.

But with questions circling the program in so many ways — mainly as to who will be the next head coach — the bowl game itself presents another sizable one.

Which players will actually participate in the postseason showcase?

The new coaching hire will almost certainly lead to a huge exodus of transfers from the current roster, which can’t officially begin until the portal opens on Jan. 2 . But that doesn’t necessarily stop players’ agents from getting their names out there and players from leaving the roster and opting out of the bowl game.
