CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Cleveland police launched a homicide investigation late Monday morning after a man was shot dead on the city’s east side.

Officers were called out around 11:30 a.m. to a store in the 15000 block of Lakeshore Avenue.

According to police, officers found the victim shot when they arrived.

He later died at a local hospital. His name was not released.

Police have not released any details about arrests.
