ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — The victims of a single-vehicle crash in Alamance County early Nov. 27 were identified as Naraya Benjamin, 16, of Greensboro, and Briahna Victoria McCain, 16, of Liberty, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Troopers responded at approximately 4:44 a.m. to the crash on NC-62 near Friendship Patterson Mill Road. Investigators said a 2006 Dodge Ram traveling south crossed the center line, ran off the road, struck a pole shed and overturned.
The 17-year-old driver and three additional passengers, ages 15 to 18, were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
