NatWest Bank is set to permanently shut down six of its branches this month as part of the high-street banks' mass closure that has taken place throughout the year. The major bank plans to close 105 branches by the end of 2025, as a result of a shift in consumer habits. According to NatWest , more than 80% of its customers use digital banking methods, with the majority of new accounts being opened online.

As a result, the high street bank says the closures are a response to the "industry-wide shift towards digital services" . However, it will continue to operate, supporting those who may need additional assistance when their local branch closes.
