The government has said that an action plan on HIV could end new transmissions of the disease in England by 2030.
The £170million scheme, unveiled by Health Secretary Wes Streeting on what is World Aids Day, is aimed at re-engaging people who have left HIV care and bringing them back to lifesaving treatment.
But progress in the UK could be undermined by cuts to global health services and aid.
