Barkus, New Orleans’ beloved dog parade during Carnival, takes place on Feb. 8, 2026, which happens to be the same day as Super Bowl LX. True, there’s reason to believe that the New Orleans Saints will not participate in the big game, which takes place in Santa Clara, California.
Nonetheless, the Barkus organizers have decided to start their annual parade an hour early, in hopes of minimizing conflict with the climactic football game. Barkus 2026 will begin a 1 p.m., while the Super Bowl will be televised at 5:30 p.m. Central Time.
