Two conservative activists who previously pleaded no contest in connection to a robocall scheme to spread inaccurate information to mostly Black voters around Detroit , leading up to the 2020 election, will avoid jail time.

Jacob Wohl, 27, and John "Jack" Burkman, 59, were each sentenced to one year probation by Wayne County Third Circuit Judge Margaret VanHouten on Dec. 1, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel's office announced in a news release.
