The Renton Municipal Airport is celebrating its 100th anniversary with the opening of a new administration office and other major upgrades.
The Renton city staff and leadership joined the Renton airport community recently to celebrate the completion of the airport’s new administrative offices and upgrades. The administrative space for the airport was moved from the control tower to a “new, inviting, and functional environment.” The city said the move will enhance the experience for both employees and visitors.
The new office is located on the airport’s southwest corner. The city said it is a part of a larger strategy to protect and modernize critical infrastructure for Renton’s future.
