A girl has been killed in a horror crash involving a minibus which was carrying nine teenagers.

The teenager was a passenger in a white Mercedes Sprinter minibus when it was involved in a collision with a Hyundai i10 car just before 12.30pm on Monday, December 1.

The girl, who has not been identified, could not be saved and died at the scene.

The minibus was carrying nine passengers aged 16 to 18, police confirmed.

Another teenage girl was taken to hospital by paramedics.

She is believed to have suffered serious injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
