Miley Cyrus and Liily drummer Maxx Morando are getting married!

The "Flowers" singer, 33, confirmed she and Morando are engaged during an appearance on "Good Morning America" that aired Wednesday, Dec. 3. Cyrus said she was shocked when her partner popped the question during a trip to Asia.

"I am not easy to surprise because I love to control every situation," she said, adding, "I'm telling you, I was so, so, so surprised."

The confirmation came after the couple sparked engagement speculation when they appeared together on the red carpet of "Avatar: Fire and Ash" on Monday, Dec. 1. Cyrus, who contributed the track "Dream as One" to the movie's soundtrack, sported a diamond ring with a chunky gold band on her ring finger.

For the film premiere, Cyrus donned a sequined black Gucci dress with a silver necklace and matching earrings. She rocked her hair in her usual loose beach waves, while Morando kept his look classic with a black suit.

Asked about her engagement after reports broke, Cyrus told People magazine, "Our privacy and us keeping it small has been something that I've been astounded that I've actually been able to have, and being able to have more choice."

She added: "I think it's also being older, being more protective of what I'm open to sharing."

Reps for the couple did not respond to USA TODAY's requests for comment by the time of publication.

According to Page Six, the jewelry designer of Cyrus' ring is Jacquie Aiche. Aiche's rep, Francesca Consulting, confirmed to the outlet that she custom-made the ring. On Instagram, Francesca Consulting reposted a photo to Instagram stories of the couple with the message, "Congratulations are in order for Miley Cyrus who just got engaged to Maxx Morando in a custom ring by @jacquieaiche."

In another photo, a shot of what appears to be a close-up of the singer's hand, showcasing the ring's details, was also shared.

The couple, who have been reportedly dating for over four years, just marked Cyrus' 33rd birthday together.

The singer and musician were first linked in 2021. Cyrus told British Vogue in June 2023 that they met on a blind date. "Well, it was blind for me and not really for him. I thought, 'The worst that can happen is I leave.'"

Cyrus was previously married to Liam Hemsworth, who confirmed his own engagement in October. The couple wed in December 2018, but Hemsworth filed for divorce less than a year later.
