Joe Keery, the breakout star from Netflix's "Stranger Things" and a musician, took a break from the Upside Down to visit a coffee shop in his Massachusetts hometown this week.
The Newburyport native stopped by Olive’s Coffee and Bakehouse for a caffeine fix and took the time to snap photos with some starstruck employees and adoring fans, the shop posted on Facebook.
“My staff have always been huge fans and Sunday I decided to give them a gift by asking if I could get a picture of them with him,” Olive's owner, Debra Ball, told MassLive. “He was happy to do it.”
The shop later shared the selfie on Instagram. The caption read, “We ended our busy Thanksgiving weekend with a visit from @djotime. He was kind enough to take a selfie with my @strangerthingstv fans/staff.”
The Steve Harrington actor has become one of the most popular faces on the show and has landed roles in other major series and movies. When not in front of a camera, he can be found behind an instrument producing music under the name Djo — pronounced Joe.
"Stranger Things" recently dropped the first of three installments in the show's finale season, with Keery playing a major part in the story's final pieces. The next batch of episodes will drop Christmas Day on Netflix.
