PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The sweet, spectacular sounds of Christmas filled the air in the Wanamaker Building on Tuesday night.

"It's wonderful. It really, really gets you in the holiday spirit," said Caitlin Sylvain of Fairmount.

Dozens sat with smiles as Opera Philadelphia performed on stage for the "Home for the Holidays" concert.

"It's so hard in the times we live in to just find ways to connect, to be together, to feel like we're together, and that's what I think art and music can do," said Anthony Roth Costanzo, who is the opera's general director and president.
