Tim Iroegbunam impressed in midfield for Everton (Image: PA)
David Moyes praised Tim Iroegbunam for his comeback performance after the disappointment of a tough weekend.
The central midfielder was withdrawn at half-time after a difficult opening 45 minutes in Everton ’s home defeat to Newcastle United. His start at the Vitality Stadium came courtesy of an injury to Michael Keane that forced the Blues boss into calling the 22-year-old back into his plans.
He responded with a brave display that was at the heart of the 1-0 win that secured Everton a memorable result at Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
Moyes said: “I thought Tim got better actually as the game went on, when we needed him to do his defensive recovery work. I thought he did a really good job. So I am pleased with him.” READ
