Brooklynn Haywood scored 29 points as Union girls basketball beat River Ridge 82-53 on Tuesday to improve to 2-0
Freshman Aleya Smith added 19 points. She and Haywood combined for 19 points in the first quarter as the Titans took a 27-16 lead.
An Oregon-bound senior, Haywood had 15 points and three of her four 3-pointers in the fourth quarter.
Kadee Spike scored 13 points and Myla Larry added 10 points for Union.
SETON CATHOLIC 45, RAINIER 37 — Riley Seymer scored 18 points, including a game-sealing 3-pointer, as the Cougars earned a season-opening win at home.
Emma Whitehouse and Remy Jenniges each added nine points for Seton.
