A beloved soap star has been supported by fans after revealing she was rushed to hospital during a health scare. Actress Amanda Mealing has been a regular on TV screens for years, and is best known for playing consultant Connie Beauchamp in Casualty and Holby City.

Other roles on her resume include a part in Grange Hill and also an appearance in 1994 hit flick Four Weddings and a Funeral. Amanda also joined rival soap Coronation Street in 2021, in which she directed three episodes.
