A popular soap actress has received an outpouring of support from fans after disclosing that she was hurriedly taken to hospital due to a health scare.

Actress Amanda Mealing, a familiar face on television for many years, is most recognised for her role as consultant Connie Beauchamp in Casualty and Holby City.
