As the 2025-2026 high school basketball is currently underway, and players to watch lists have been revealed, it's time for the fans' to choose.

Fayetteville Academy and Trinity Christian look to be 2A contenders in the NCISAA. In the NCHSAA, Douglas Byrd, South View, and Seventy-First sit as the lone undefeated squads so far through just a few games, with the Eagles having their best start since the 2008-2009 season at 4-0.

Below, there are 22 Fayetteville-area boys' basketball players to choose from for the fans' decision of preseason player of the year.

Voting will conclude on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 8 a.m.
