Kira and Mila Reynolds combined to score 39 points as Texas-Arlington took a 62-55 victory over Arkansas-Little Rock on Tuesday night at the Jack Stephens Center on Little Rock.
Kira Reynolds, a freshman from South Bend, Ind., finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds, shooting 8 of 12 from the field and 6 of 7 from the free-throw line. Texas-Arlington (5-4) outrebounded UALR 38-26.
Mila Reynolds finished with 17 points and 7 rebounds on 6-of-11 shooting, while Nya Threatt scored nine points. The Mavericks were able to hang on for the win despite shooting 0 of 8 from three-point range.
"We knew that they would be a tough team inside," UALR Coach Steve Wiedower said of the Mavericks. "They took it to us inside. They were able to execute and once they got it there, they were able to score.
