Posthumous award recognises star's service to the city

Ozzy Osbourne's family will visit his native city of Birmingham on Wednesday, December 3, marking the date of the late singer's 77th birthday. This poignant visit takes place months after the rock icon passed away on July 22, 2025, just over two weeks after his final performance.

The principal reason for their trip is to formally accept a posthumous Lord Mayor's Award in Ozzy's honour. They will also be presented with Books of Condolence, which has been signed by the public during the period of mourning.
