At the time of this interview, he had not seen the episode, but said he appears as a character unimaginatively named Steven Page who plays a version of the song with early 1900s period-appropriate backing — including acoustic guitar, piano, stand-up bass and trumpet — before the song morphs into his more modern version over the credits.
