TEMPE, Ariz. — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting at Tempe Marketplace that left a man dead , police said.
According to Tempe Police, 20-year-old Fernando Gallegos was arrested for his alleged involvement in the crime.
The shooting was reported on Dec. 1 in the area of McClintock Drive and Rio Salado Parkway, south of the Loop 202 freeway. Police said one man was critically injured and later died.
The victim, identified as 19-year-old Dominic Baysinger, and his girlfriend were in the parking lot to meet up with the suspect to complete an online transaction, according to police.
Gallegos was issued a $1.2 million bond during his initial appearance before a judge.
