Pilots for Transat A.T. Inc. have overwhelmingly voted to go on strike if a new agreement is not reached with the airline .
Air Transat has been in contract negotiations with its pilots, represented by Air Line Pilots Association , since January.
The ALPA said that of the 98 per cent of eligible Air Transat pilots who voted, 99 per cent were in favour of a strike. Voting began on Nov. 17 and significant support for strike action was expected
“This overwhelming vote sends a clear message to management: our pilot group is unified, determined and prepared for job action if the company does not provide us with a modern contract,” ALPA said on
