One man died and a suspect was arrested Tuesday night after a shooting downtown.
Fort Wayne police were dispatched to an Amoco Gas Station, 437 E. Washington Blvd., at 6:20 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found an adult male on the parking lot suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The man had life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. He was later pronounced deceased.
The Fort Wayne Homicide Unit responded and conducted a criminal investigation.
Domonique Richard Drew, 34, was identified as a suspect and taken into custody during a traffic stop at South Clinton Street and East Jefferson downtown at about 10:15 p.m.
He is being held at the Allen County Jail and is preliminary charged with murder.
