Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent detoured from tariffs and interest rates to Rush Hour 4 at a conference this morning and insisted there’s no new normal in terms of the current administration’s relationship with corporate America.

In a Q&A at the New York Times’ DealBook conference, moderator Andrew Ross Sorkin asked about Paramount ’s agreeing to release Rush Hour 4 as the David Ellison company attempts to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery in a mega-merger, and more generally about the relationship between the business community and the Trump administration.
