A castle-themed residence with a three-story turret has been beguiling passersby since it was constructed during the Roaring Twenties on a corner lot in Northeast Portland.

In the last decade, grass as tall as three feet high and other signs of neglect have worried residents of the Beaumont-Wilshire neighborhood.

On Nov. 25, the 0.14-acre property at 3880 N.E. Wistaria Dr. was put up for sale “as is,” meaning the buyer accepts the property in its current condition and the seller will make no repairs.

The asking price is $650,000 . Offers are due by 9 a.m. on Dec. 8 and the buyer needs to pay in cash, said listing broker Cee Webster of Neighbors Realty.
