Mario Kart World's big selling point is the open world, which seamlessly connects different tracks through intermission routes. It's a good idea, in theory, except that the chaotic racer couldn't quite make a case for the connective bits that players felt like only got in the way of meatier portions of the game. But with Mario Kart World's 1.4 update, Nintendo has taken these complaints seriously enough that it redesigned entire areas of the game.
