The annual Chatham Goodfellows’ No Child Without a Christmas campaign is off to a great start with nearly $73,000 raised from two recent events.
“Chatham Goodfellows volunteers have knocked it out of the park again this year,” said long-time volunteer Tim Haskell about the $53,199 that was collected during Monday’s Porchlight fundraiser that saw volunteers going door-to-door to collect cash donations from local residents, along with toys and food.

Haskell, who chairs the toy drive portion of the campaign, said the board was “utterly speechless” and “truly humbled” with the result of the Porchlight campaign.
He said between 1,500 to 2,000 toys also were collected Monday night along with 120 banana boxes full food.
The Goodfellows also are getting a new funding boost
