Police confirm South Hill Rapist's death, Federal Way Mayor's office says

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Kevin Coe, known as the South Hill Rapist, is dead, according to communications from the Federal Way Mayor's Office.

Ben Willer, communications manager with the Mayor's Office, confirmed to NonStop Local that the Federal Way Police Department confirmed that Coe died on December 3, 2025.

Coe was accused of raping and beating dozens of women near Spokane's South Hill from the late 1970s to the early 1980s. While several charges against Coe were brought to court, he only served one . The others were dismissed after courts judges evidence inadmissible.
