JUNIATA, Neb. (KSNB) - A Hastings woman died after her vehicle left the road and crashed into a creek near Juniata last week.
According to a release from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a one-vehicle crash around 8:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving on DLD Road, west of Juniata.
The sheriff’s office said 32-year-old Sarah Steele was found dead at the scene.
ACSO said the investigation revealed that Steele’s van left the road and came to rest in the 32-Mile Creek. When deputies arrived, they found Steele inside the van, deceased.
The sheriff’s office said seat belts were not in use.
Along with the sheriff’s office, Juniata Fire and Hastings Fire assisted at the scene.
