Ashley Thompson owns Farmhouse Florist in Carmi, Illinois.
She tells us she was selected to be in a team of 145 volunteers out of 12,000 applicants.
Thompson says when she arrived, she was placed with a group of 20 to decorate the Grand Foyer and Cross Hall.
It houses 28 of the 51 trees found in this year’s Christmas display at the White House.
They are decorated in burgundy and gold, with foliage, ribbon, ornaments, and taper candles.
The First Lady is calling the space “Where Love Blooms.”
