JACKSON COUNTY, Michigan — A road rage altercation in Concord Township ended in a death on Thanksgiving when one of two men fighting in the road was hit and killed by an oncoming vehicle.

Michigan State Police troopers from the Jackson Post responded to the crash near M-60 and N. Main Street at approximately 6:07 p.m. on Nov. 28.

According to preliminary investigation, a 22-year-old Concord man driving a Chevy Malibu and a 24-year-old Parma man driving a Jeep Cherokee were involved in a road rage incident. Both drivers pulled onto the shoulder and exited their vehicles, then began physically fighting in the road.

While the two men were fighting, a westbound Ram 1500 pickup driven by a 62-year-old Hanover man hit both individuals.
