A dog who spent over a year and a half at a West Lothian kennel will spend this Christmas in his "happy place" after being adopted.
11-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Harry was cared for at Dogs Trust in West Calder for 580 days.
During that time he was rarely seen without one of his special unicorn toys, and staff came to love his affectionate and happy nature.
After spending last Christmas at the kennels, he was spotted on the charity's website by his future family, the Scottish Daily Express reports .
Andrew and Mel, from Lesmahagow, South Lanarkshire, thought Harry looked like their beloved Staffie Loki, who they had adopted from Dogs Trust in Leeds, but sadly died aged 13 in 2024.
