RED CLOUD, Neb. (KSNB) - A separation agreement obtained by Local4 from the district reveals Red Cloud Community Schools will pay Superintendent Brian Hof $136,000 to leave the district in exchange for both parties releasing all potential legal claims against each other.
The contract also seems to lack a non-disparagement clause, leaving Hof free to publicly criticize his former employer.
The Dec. 2 agreement shows Hof will continue serving as superintendent through the end of the first semester of the 2025-26 school year before his resignation becomes effective. The district will pay him regular salary and benefits through that period, plus the lump-sum severance payment in January 2026.
