Pittsburg wide receiver RJ Mosley and a pair of De La Salle standouts – defensive lineman Nemyah Telona and athlete Jaden Jefferson – were among the Bay Area high school football players who made their college commitments official on Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period.
Mosley signed a letter of intent to join former San Jose State coach Brent Brennan’s team at Arizona. Telona signed with Cal, and Jefferson, California’s reigning high school champion in the 100-meter dash, is headed to Chapel Hill to play for Bill Belichick at North Carolina.
New Stanford coach Tavita Pritchard landed St. Francis linebacker Chase Cahoon and is expected to receive an official commitment from Archbishop Riordan quarterback Michael Mitchell Jr., who announced on Saturday that he was heading
