A scary incident took place at an EV charging station in Moffat County on Tuesday. The Moffat County Sheriff’s Office issued the following official statement: At approximately 10:40 PM, residents in Maybell reported a loud explosion followed by visible fire at the electric vehicle charging station located outside the Victory Hotel on Lowell Street in Maybell. Moffat County Sheriff’s Office deputies and the Maybell Fire Department responded immediately. Crews quickly contained the fire to the charging station, preventing it from spreading to the hotel or any nearby structures.
