DETROIT - It will soon cost more to go to and from Canada from Detroit via the Ambassador Bridge as tolls are going up after the New Year.
The Ambassador Bridge’s website posted toll increase info which shows all auto, bus and motorcycle tolls will go up $1 from $9 to $10 beginning January 1, 2026.
Autos, buses, and motorcycles with trailers will increase $2 from $18 to $20.
People are not allowed to cross the bridge via Bicycles, scooters, and pedestrians.
Commercial vehicle rates will increase from $14 to $15 per axle for those with an A-Pass or E-Z Pass. The cost is $20 per axle for vehicles without an account.
The bridge’s escort service for wide or oversized loads will increase $10 from $125 to $135.
