LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Excused in-person absentee voting for the 37th senatorial district special election began Wednesday.
This is to fill David Yates' former seat, who left his position to become the interim Jefferson County Clerk.
The district covers the area west of the airport, south of Shively and north of Valley Station.
The Democratic candidate nominated to fill Yates' former seat is Gary Clemons , while the Republican candidate is Calvin Leach.
Voting will take place at the Jefferson County Clerk's Office Election Center Wednesday until 4:30 p.m., according to the County Clerk's office. That's at 1000 E. Liberty Street. If you cannot make it Wednesday, you have five of the next seven days to vote before the Dec. 10 deadline.
