Cases of Ritz Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches sold in eight states are being recalled due to packs being incorrectly labeled and posing a risk to people with peanut allergies.
Montelez Global LLC, the owner of the Ritz brand, initially issued a recall in July, but the FDA said in a news release on Nov. 28 that Montelez is issuing the recall for 70 cases of the product “out of an abundance of caution.”
Here’s what to know.
Why Are the Ritz Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches Being Recalled?
Individually wrapped packs may be incorrectly labeled as cheese variety even though the product may be the peanut butter variety of the crackers, according to the FDA.
People with peanut allergies could potentially suffer serious or life-threatening allergic reactions by consuming the products incor
