Vanderbilt is currently on the outside looking in as far as the College Football Playoff. The Commodores are No. 14 in this week’s rankings and do not appear to have a path to make the CFP.

Heisman candidate and Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia is trying to get President Donald Trump to change that.

Pavia has asked for Trump to immediately expand the playoff to 16 teams. He made his plea on X.

“MAKE THE EXECUTIVE ORDER PLEASE," Diego Pavia posted while tagging the president in his post.

Pavia quoted a post about how the College Football Playoff should be 16 teams, with four SEC, four Big Ten, two ACC, two Big 12 and four at-large teams.

Vanderbilt is 10-2 on the season but does not have a signature win, which is why the CFP committee has the Commodores outside of the top 12.
