Wetaskiwin Longhorn Quentin Greenwood triggered a cascade of teddy bears and stuffies when he scored at 18:55 of the first period in a game against the Westlock Warriors Saturday night.

The Longhorns were hosting the Warriors at Wetaskiwin Co-op Place during the team’s Teddy Bear Toss game.

Once the first goal was scored, the bears and stuffed animals rained down on to the ice. Wetaskiwin’s U13 Kings were quick to clear up the cuddly donations, which will be given to the Wetaskiwin Church of God’s Upcycle Toy Drive.

The stuffies will join other donations of used toys, books in good condition along with batteries (AA, AAA) and various gift wrapping materials to provide a free shopping experience to families this Christmas.
