President Donald Trump just granted a surprising pardon to a Democratic lawmaker.

Trump announced his pardon of U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar — a Democrat from Texas — in a Truth Social post on Wednesday. He accused former President Joe Biden of politically targeting Cuellar with an investigation during his administration.
