The University of Colorado Boulder is developing plans to increase its international student enrollment and hire a new administrator as part of its vision for the university to have a stronger global presence.

The vision, initiated by Chancellor Justin Schwartz, will include a new plan to increase overall international student enrollment, with a special focus on increasing the number of undergraduate international students. The new plan comes as international student enrollment has dropped notably at CU Boulder and institutions across the country this fall, a trend that’s occurring as the Trump administration enacts new policies impacting international students, such as instituting travel bans and making obtaining a student visa more challenging.
