OXON HILL, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Police said they were investigating after a shooting inside MGM National Harbor left one person dead.

According to the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD), the shooting took place in the food court just before noon on Dec. 3.

Police said one person died there.

In a news conference held outside the casino Wednesday afternoon, Prince George’s County Police Department Chief George Nader confirmed that a man was killed in the shooting, which investigators believe was targeted.
