INDIANAPOLIS – Daniel Jones is standing at his locker, holding the thing in his hands, and it doesn’t look like much. Dang sure doesn’t look like the reason the Indianapolis Colts will, or won’t, reach the 2025 NFL postseason. But it is, this yellowish piece of padding tucked on the top shelf of his locker at the Colts ’ complex on 56 th Street. Jones pulls it down for me, and smiles at the thing that has saved his season.
