Freida McFadden believes The Housemaid film is even better than she imagined.

Ahead of the film adaptation of her novel starring Sydney Sweeney , Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar hitting the big screen Dec. 19, the author teased that even the most fresh readers may be surprised by the shocking ending.

“They made some changes to the end,” Freida explained in an exclusive E! News interview at the film’s New York premiere. “I actually think it’s better. It’s more action, which I think works a lot better on the big screen.”
