RIPLEY COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - Human remains found in rural Ripley County have been identified as a man reported missing in 2019.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the remains were identified as 53-year-old Jerry B. Hale following an autopsy on November 7.

They say he was reported missing to the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office on August 28, 2019.

The remains were found on Nov. 4 on private property.

The investigation is active and ongoing by the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office, Ripley County Coroner’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol - Division of Drug and Crime Control.
